Craftsman tap and die set

Postby JuddRacing » Fri Mar 05, 2010 11:21 am

Hey guys,

I searched my trailer last weekend and I can't find my small Craftsman tap and die set. I remember loaning it out at Sunshine, but I don't remember to who. I don't even remember if it was one of our folks or not. I think it was in Sept because I couldn't find it at the Bradenton race and Ron loaned me his. So... if you come across an extra one in your trailer, please let me know.

Thanks...Mike

Oh well, it was worth a shot. I can't complain, it was the first time in 10 years something hadn't come back. When my wife started going to races with me it took her a while to understand how I would just loan stuff out to people I didn't even know without a second thought. She learned quickly that no one can bring everything they might need and we have to help each other out. That selflessness is one of the neatest things about our sport!

I've been suspicious of long time "American made" brands since I found that my Matco jack was made in China. So when I went to Sears to replace this tap and die set, guess what, Craftsman brand made in CHINA  . If I wanted Chinese crap I'd go to Harbor Frieght. I checked my old set in the garage and they were made in America. People are catching hell for buying Toyotas right now but you can't find anything made in America anymore.
